FRANCE BLOCKAGE - SOCIAL CRISIS
Blockage of the french social model: France could be divided between 2 categories :
Well protect workers who benfit of strong protection laws. Fire them is difficult  and costly. As a result french employers are reluctant to expand their payrolls. Unemployed people (around 10 percent, 23 percent among young people rising to more than 40 percent in the poor neighborhoods) or precarious workers who obtain only interim or short term contracts. In the past decades, both left wing and right wing governments were not able to impose more flexibility. There is a strong resistance of the well protected workers' trade unions with the  support of a large part of the population who is attached to security in work and protection laws.
